Jackson Teller's father started a motorcycle club called the Sons of Anarchy a very long time ago, when Jackson was a child. Jackson grew up in the club and he started to be called Jax by all of the club members. When Jax' father dies, he is put in a position where he has to keep the club operating and profitable. Jax' mother, Gemma, becomes a focal point for other club members who would want to influence Jax and take over the club. Gemma remarries Clay and Clay takes over the leadership of the club. Clay makes deals with other entities that start to generate the club a lot of money, but Clay is not always in it for the club. When Clay falls from grace with Gemma, Jax steps in and takes over the leadership of the club. Now it is up to Jax to generate opportunities for the club, keep the club's enemies at bay, and make arrangements with local law enforcement officials that will allow the club to keep its businesses profitable.
