"Vikings," follows the lives of some of the most famous Norsemen of the Dark Ages. The main character of the show is Ragnor Lodbrok, a legendary Norse figure. Ragnor is eager to explore new territories, and with the help of friends, begins to design new ships that can travel much faster, making exploration a possibility. Soon, Ragnor is leading raids on Northern England, and he begins to win the loyalty of the Viking people, as well as the distrust of the king. Meanwhile, Ragnor's brother, Rollo, is fighting a growing attraction to Ragnor's wife, Lagertha. In addition, each of the people Ragnor encounters also has their own story. These many interwoven tales present a gripping historical account of Viking life in the Middle Ages.
