This long running drama walks through a murder case in Manhattan through both the police investigation on the streets of the city and the prosecution in the court room. The first half of the show follows detectives Lupo and Bernard as they discover the murder scene, track down leads, interview witnesses, and finally locate a suspect. After that, Executive ADA Cutter and ADA Rubirosa try to convict the suspect with all the legal twists and turns found in a courtroom drama. Both halves of the show tell a complete story of this single event, from the crime itself to the eventual conviction or acquittal.
