Set in the beautiful Hamptons, this series revolves around a former emergency room doctor. After he was wrongly blamed for a hospital trustee's death, he is blackballed at that hospital. While vacationing in the Hamptons with his brother, he assists the local doctor in a medical emergency. Residents of the town soon realize his expertise, and one of the wealthier residents asks that he stay on to become the town's general practitioner, or concierge doctor. An underlying theme throughout the show is the main character's struggle between treating wealthy patients and doing well for himself or treating the indigent patients and simply doing good for others that are less fortunate.
