Lu Chan is an outsider who has moved to the village of Chen. Chen Village is a place where martial arts means everything, which makes Chen desperately long to learn the mysteries of Chen-style Tai Chi. However, it is forbidden to teach this mystical fighting style to outsiders, which leaves Lu Chan with nothing to do but live with his frustrations. One day, a mysterious steam machine attacks the village. Lu Chan saves the village from this terrifying machine, and in gratitude the beautiful Yuniang decides to marry him. As well as being beautiful, Yuniang is the granddaughter of the man who developed Chen-style Tai Chi, Grandmaster Chen. Because he is marrying into the family, Lu Chan finally realizes his dream of learning Chen-style Tai Chi. Yuniang instructs Lu Chan in the wonders of the magical fighting style, but he finds that the magic horn he develops on his head robs him of his intelligence as it grows. Meanwhile, the angry former fiance of Yuniang comes to the village looking for vengeance. He has gathered a band of warriors together to fight with him, and the whole village is threatened by this bloodthirsty band. It is up to Lu Chan to resolve the situation if he can.
