The storied movie follows a small group of survivors living in the aftermath of a zombie outbreak. The group, led by a police officer, Rick Grimes, must fight off constant attacks from the undead and struggle to find food, shelter, and necessities. They come across other survivors along the way, some friendly and some not, and must make difficult decisions as they try to stay alive in a world overrun by zombies. The group eventually finds a haven at a prison. As they struggle to survive, Rick and his group must also confront the emotional and psychological effects of living in a world where the dead walk and the living are in constant danger.
