Just before Christmas, when she thinks he's on the verge of proposing, Jesse's boyfriend dumps her. His parents convince her to join them for Christmas anyway, and she flies out to spend the holidays with them. But she's not the only one they invited. Her ex's handsome cousin is there, too. As they get to know one another, Jesse thinks there might be something between them. But then her ex, Shawn, shows up unexpectedly, escalating the holiday from challenging to comedically complicated.
