Diana Bishop, a renowned historian and witch sets out to solve the mysteries surrounding Ashmole 782. She understands the enormity of the of the task ahead of her and appreciates she needs help. The only person available to help her is Matthew Clairmont, an enigmatic vampire. This throws her into a state of dilemma because witches cannot accept help from vampires. However, the two soon develop mutual attraction to one another which only heightens the tension between witches and vampires. When Clairmont?s vampire instincts set in, she warns Diana to walk away from him but not to run.
