The opera "Carmen" has maintained its mystique over many years. In this retelling of the classic tale, Carmen finds herself in a difficult predicament at the very start. While trying to escape cartel members who want to see her dead, Carmen discovers that heading north may be equally treacherous. With the United States government in hot pursuit, as well as extremists, it seems that a safe journey may not be in the cards. It's a strange backdrop for romance, but somehow Carmen manages to forge an unforgettable connection.
