A thirtysomething woman is bored and adrift at her dead-end job at an employment agency. Then Kate meets a handsome blonde man seeking employment. She calls him up later and jumps into a passionate love affair without knowing anything about him. It's typical self-destructive behavior for Kate as she indulges in sex and drugs and seems incapable of finding a deeper meaning in life. Her friends and family worry about her. Her new guy may be dangerous. She is heading toward getting fired from her job--but Kate seems determined to keep making all the wrong choices despite the consequences.
