It is a story about a federal agent and an outlaw who face off in a showdown. As the two men wait for the signal to draw, flashbacks reveal what has brought them to this moment and how each man's unique upbringing will affect the outcome. The agent's father was an abolitionist, and the outlaw's father was enslaved. A black abolitionist educated the agent. The outlaw received only rough schooling from his slave father. Hopefully, the two men will have a fated encounter disrupted by gunfire. The characters rely on their skills and knowledge to survive. They are fighting with semi-automatic weapons. They are robbing banks and armored cars, but they are both cautious in not causing too much disturbance.
