Georgetown is a crime film inspired by the murder of Viola Herms Drath. Elsa Breht is a widow connected to the social scene in Washington D.C. that meets Ulrich Mott after his internship comes to an unfortunate end. She is amused by his wishes to ascend the social ladder at first, advising him at every turn. However, it soon comes to light that Mott has been less than honest with her. This realization is what leads to Elsa's fate.
