The shooting of a white NYPD detective by one of his own men, who is black, sparks protests in several areas around the city. Even local gangs agree to stop battling each other so they can band together to fight for justice in their community, and white police officers within the department try to change things internally by addressing the racism that has been a part of their police force for so long. Their intervention may end up solving a lot of the issues that have always plagued the relationship between the NYPD and the people in the communities that they serve.
