6.2The inspiring and curious life of scientist Marie Curie unfolds in realistic human detail. Marie Curie meets the French physicist, Pierre Curie, who becomes her research partner and love interest. The two become married and endeavor to learn more about radioactivity.
Through their investigations, they discover radioactive elements radium and polonium for which they receive the 1903 Noble Prize in Physics. Tragically, three years later Pieree Curie dies from a skull fracture sustained by a horse trample.
Upset, Marie Curie dives ever further into her research. Soon, she realizes the momentous implications of it in medicine and war.
