A young woman, Waad al-Kateab, lives her life in the middle east as she ends up falling in love and eventually having a daughter of her own. However, trouble strikes when a war starts in the region she lives in so she deals with troubles raising her child while making sure that they are both safe. Tensions arrive when she eventually has to decide to flee the city she's lived in her entire life or decide to stay so she can see freedom again.
