Sam Greenfield has nothing but bad luck. Everything always goes wrong, from flat tires on her bicycle to her toast falling jam side down. Even the people around Sam are affected by her bad luck. Sam's life changes when she finds a real lucky penny, experiencing nothing but good luck until she loses both her penny and her luck.
