David, a blue-collar captain, is mysteriously drawn to an abandoned ship at an auction. Impulsively, he buys it in hopes of starting a new life with a charter-boat business. David, his wife Sarah, and their three children soon happily set sail on their new ship. However, once at sea, mysterious and terrifying things begin to happen. David and Sarah soon learn of the ship's horrifying past of former passengers disappearing at sea. With their youngest children falling under the influence of the evil forces permeating the ship, David and Sarah find themselves in a desperate fight to save their family.
