Gwen, a farm girl in 19th-century north Wales, is convinced something is going wrong in her little community. Strange deaths, of humans and animals, are happening all around her, and her mother is suffering terrible fits. Worst of all, the people in the town seem to think that all these occurrences are her fault. It's up to Gwen to keep her family together and find out the dark truth about what's really happening to them.
