Melinda is a lonely gas-station attendant. She aspires to more, yearning for a better life. Her outgoing coworker Shelia seems to get everything she wants with enviable ease. Melinda's chance to break out of her rut arrives in the form of Billy. He is desperate for some quick cash, he has a gun, and he is not afraid to use it to hold up the gas station. While Shelia's charms work to no avail; however, Melinda sees the robber as an opportunity. The lonely woman's life finds renewed focus when she forges a connection with the gunman. However, pursuing this connection might just end in bloodshed.
