A retired veteran and Democrat is running for Mayor of a small, Conservative Wisconsin town. When a Democratic National Committee strategist sees a video featuring a retired Marine Colonel and his fight for the rights of the town's undocumented workers, the strategist takes the opportunity to win back America's heartland. When the Republican National Committee hears of this, they quickly send his nemesis and the battle for the soul of America takes over this small-town race.
