Arrow is a reinvention of the popular DC Comics character Green Arrow. Oliver Queen spent years stranded on a remote tropical island, and that terrifying experience taught the young billionaire how to survive in extreme circumstances. While Oliver returns home to his playboy lifestyle by day, he spends his nights in the persona of the Arrow. With a high tech bow and specialized arrows he learned to use while on the island, he seeks out the criminal elements of Starling City while trying to recover the reputation of his family and serve as a hero to the downtrodden. Arrow is part of DC's shared TV universe and regularly features appearances by other DC Comics characters.
