A judge is use to making hard decisions, even when her cases involve children. However, when her marriage begins to fall apart, she finds herself struggling with tough cases. When faced deciding the fate of a medically fragile teenage boy, the judge must weigh the consequences of any decision. The boy's live is in the judge's hand as she determines if he should receive a needed blood transfusion. The boy is refusing the procedure based on religious reasoning.
