When John Shaft Jr. learns that a close friend has died, something just doesn't add up. The young MIT graduate begins to unravel the mysterious circumstances behind the friend's death and soon discovers that the rabbit hole goes deep. To get to the truth John will have to enlist entire generations of the legendary Shaft family. Grandfather, father, and son work together on the mean streets to set things right, and the Shaft name once again strikes fear into the hearts of evil men.
