Evan Birch is a popular and well-liked philosophy professor who has a loving family. However, after a young girl goes missing, Birch becomes a prime suspect after a string of coincidences seems to indicate that he had relations with the missing victim. As the clues begin to compile, Birch's life beings to spiral out of control, all while being pursued by a relentless FBI agent looking to solve the case.
