A woman is kidnapped, and her fiance intends to find her before she can be harmed in any way. The man meets up with an officer of the law, who understands how law enforcement works in these situations. The police officer's expertise and understanding of the bureaucratic procedures of law enforcement helps the man to take action on his own terms and get his fiancee back. The tenuous friendship between the two men has its ups and its downs, but in the end, they are able to work together for the greater good.
