In Gerald's Game, the married couple Jessie and Gerald Burlingame travel to the remote lakehouse that they own, with intention of having a romantic, sexy weekend together. Gerald suggests that they try some bondage in order to spice things up, and handcuffs Jessie to their bed. Unfortunately, Gerald suffers a heart attack not long afterwards, leaving Jessie handcuffed. She must then escape: not only physically, but mentally as well after she begins to hallucinate.
