The Mindy Project is an American sitcom series centered around obstetrician/gynecologist, Dr. Mindy Lahiri. We follow Mindy as through her various romantic escapades, and break-ups, as she seeks to find balance between her personal life and her medical practice. Mindy shares her medical practice, where she finds both friendship and sometimes even romantic hook-ups, with a couple of other quirky and entertaining doctors. Additionally, Mindy receives both support and advice from her childhood best friend, Gwen. Although Mindy strives to be put together, well-rounded and organized, she can never quite hide her true nature of being somewhat neurotic and disorganized.
