Maddy is a teenage girl who has severe combined immunodeficiency. This rare condition makes her allergic to pretty much everything. Maddy has spent her whole life in her sanitized home, and her mother and her nurse are the only people she knows. This changes when a boy named Olly becomes her next door neighbor. Maddy and Olly fall in love as they text each other and look at each other through their windows. As their romance deepens, they begin to figure out a way of breaking Maddy out of her bubble so they can be together.
