"Brooklyn Nine-Nine" is a comedic television show that centers around a group of New York Police Department detectives within Brooklyn's 99th precinct, as well as their commanding officer. One of the main characters is Jake Peralta. Detective Peralta is a talented detective, but he does not often play by the rules. After the strict and rule-following Captain Ray Holt is assigned to the precinct, he puts more systems and regulations in place, which creates a conflict between Captain Holt and Detective Peralta. "Brooklyn Nine-Nine" also features a zany cast of characters, such as Detective Peralta's love interest, Detective Amy Santiago.
