The American experience is filled with horror stories that have real and supernatural origins. This anthology explores many of these horrors of the mind and body through some of the most common themes seen in American culture using different unique locations each season. Past seasons have dealt with a variety of broad themes, such as addiction, discrimination and infidelity, wrapped up in supernatural tales involving a murder house, an asylum, a coven, a circus and a hotel. Human wickedness and supernatural evil are often equal to one another throughout the series with one type of horror feeding into the other.
