House of Lies follows Marty Kaan, a management consultant who heads up a pod at a top-tier consulting firm. Kaan is decidedly cold hearted and ruthless when it comes to his business. He is willing to go to any lengths to close a deal and get the information necessary to complete a project. He is also more than willing to take advantage of his clients' pocketbook for questionable business expenses while on the job. The show simultaneously follows Kaan's personal life, including his ex-wife who works for a competing consultancy company, his retired psychiatrist father, and his very flamboyant young son.
