There are probably not many people who watch TV who have not at least heard of the Robertson family. Louisiana born patriarch Phil Robertson had a rough childhood, earned a Master's degree, refused an opportunity to play pro football, and started a duck call making business that has earned millions. The core of the reality show is told through the perspective of Phil's son Willie as he interprets some situational antics of the entire family of siblings, children, in-laws and eccentric Uncle Si. Each show drives home Christian family ethics and values, and it is the bedrock of traditional American lifestyle. The family ends each show gathered around the dinner table saying grace.
