Selena Meyer, an ambitious Senator, ignores the warnings of the people around her and accepts the job of Vice President of the United States. She and her staff, however, soon discover the truth behind all of the warnings. They find themselves marginalized and embroiled in the trivial political games that are so common in the nation's capitol. Struggling to rise above the fray, they work to use their time in power to accomplish their political aims and carve out a meaningful legacy.
