Porthos, Athos, Aramis and D'Artagnan are four devoted friends and fierce fighters living in Paris in the 1600s. The four of them are part of an elite team whose job it is to protect the monarch and the country. Their lives are full of swash-buckling adventure, and they usually have an excellent time because they are such close comrades. However, there are many dangers inherent in their daring deeds, and they also must face temptations to veer from the path that they have chosen. Their lives are exciting and full of surprises, but domestic bliss does occasionally call to them.
