Sterling Archer, code named "Duchess," is a master spy who works for ISIS, which is an international spy agency. His domineering mother, Malory, is his boss as well. Archer has interesting interactions with her, as well as her secretary, Cheryl. He is also forced to interact with Agent Lana Kane, who happens to be his ex-girlfriend, as well as her new boyfriend, Cyril Figgis, who is an ISIS comptroller. This group of people deals with global crises, but these crises are really nothing more than a backdrop for mind games, drama, and betrayal among the members of this elite group.
