As little boys, Dean and Sam lost their mother to a supernatural killer. Their father spent most of his life searching for the entity that killed his wife. The brothers have grown up fighting evil and the supernatural all their lives. Sam tries to leave that life behind. He attends college where he meets the woman he wants to spend the rest of his life with, but his brother shows up with the news that their father is missing. Sam doesn't want to get sucked back into that life, but the entity that killed his mother strikes again killing the love of his life. The brothers set out to find their father and to avenge their mother's death and the death of Sam's girlfriend. On the way, they must save innocent lives that come into contact with evil.
