A young couple in China move into a new house, and they are very eager to start a tranquil new life there. Unfortunately, the house comes with an added bonus that they did not anticipate. Once they move in, they find a doll, and it turns out that this doll has an uncanny knack for making life miserable for the people unlucky enough to have it in their possession. At first, the couple does not correlate the series of unfortunate events with this doll's presence, but they eventually come to understand just what they are up against. By that time, however, the doll has grown in power. Will they be able to stop this doll, or at least escape it, before it is too late?
