This television remake of the original 1996 movie follows Seth Gecko and Richard Gecko, his brother who is prone to violence. The brothers are wanted by local officials and the FBI after a bank robbery gone bad. As the brothers are chased down to the Mexican border they take a hostage and meet Don Carlos, a drug lord. They head to a strip club which turns out to be full of vampires, where they must defend themselves until dawn breaks in order to survive. This series expands upon the film, further developing the characters and introducing new ones. It also further delves into the mythology surrounding the monsters found in the Mexican strip club.
