After recently graduating from Yale, Kyle McAvoy looks for his career path but meets a stranger named Bennie Wright. The man threatens McAvoy with a secret from his past involving two friend and a young college student named Elaine Keenan. He is forced to begin work at a New York law firm called Scully and Pershing. The firm is involved with a big case against defense contractors. Soon, McAvoy is drawn into spying for the mystery man. Fearing the worst, he finally goes to the FBI as well as his father for help.
