With show runner Greg Garcia at the helm, "The Millers" follows the exploits of television newsman Nathan Miller and his quirky family. James Burrows, better known for directing "Cheers" episodes is the director. Will Arnett from "Arrested Development" plays the lead, kind of a cross between hard charging local reporter and slacker. Margo Martindale. Jayma Mays, J.B. Smoove, and Beau Bridges also star. The show takes place in Leesburg, Va. Miller covers the news while Debbie, his sister, operates a vegetarian restaurant with husband Adam. The restaurant doubles as a yoga center. Bridges and Martindale play Nathan's parents. They fight a lot, but ultimately share a great love of family. Smoove, also known for "The Larry David Show," is Miller's sassy cameraman who makes pithy observations. The family-oriented comedy contains a lot of insult humor and deals with family jealousy in a comedic fashion. While dealing with family issues, it displays a light touch and gentle humor in which family members come together to resolve issues in humorous ways.
