The series takes place in a small town in Texas, where a housewife named Riley Parks has been abandoned by her husband and is left with two children and mounting debt. In an effort to find a way to provide for her family, she begins work in a local day spa, but quickly realizes that the spa services include more than just massages. This leads to her struggle to live a double life ? one as a single mother who is struggling to provide for her family and one as a businesswoman in a rather frowned-upon industry.
