6.2Cate McCall was once a successful lawyer, but her drinking and substance abuse problems caused her to lose her license. Now sober and back on track, Cate is trying to regain at least some custody of her five year-old daughter. In order to get her career moving again, she takes a pro bono case where a woman is accused of murder. The woman accused, Lacy Stubbs, continually declares her innocence, and Cate dives deeper and deeper into her case to try and find out the truth behind the crime. However, the case then causes Cate to miss opportunities to get her personal life back on track the way she had hoped.
