Previously a Syracuse, New York detective, Carrie Wells has an extremely rare medical condition that enables her to remember everything that she has seen or heard. Her former partner and boyfriend, Lt. Al Burns, asks her to help him solve crimes in his new position as head of a homicide unit in Queens. She reluctantly takes the job as she feels that it may help her to discover the truth behind the one crime scene that she cannot remember, the murder of her sister. Her unique ability to recall details are extremely helpful to her new team, and they are promoted to work major crimes in the city.
