Neal Caffrey is a charming and clever con artist with a passion for priceless antiques. When he is captured by the FBI, straightlaced agent Peter Burke comes to him with an offer: Neal can be released to house arrest and a reduced sentence if he uses his unique brand of expertise to help the FBI track down other white collar criminals. Neal agrees, but he uses much of his spare time trying to track down his former ill-gotten gains, with the aid of his friend (and occasional accomplice) Mozzie. Although neither can bring himself to fully trust the other, together Neal and Peter form a surprisingly effective team.
