A soft-spoken man with a tough exterior, Deputy Raylan Givens grew up in tough, rural Kentucky as the offspring of an outlaw. A conflict between himself and his bosses at the U.S. Marshal Service results in old school Raylan being reassigned to the district that includes his hometown. Dispensing his own style of 19th century justice, Raylan is searching for the man he should become while running from the one he does not want to be. In addition to disagreements with his superiors, Raylan?s unique style places a target on his back him as he is placed at odds with criminal elements looking to expand in his place of birth, including people that he has known all his life.
