Age is beginning to bother three Los Angeles starlet friends who are heading to Paris for vacation. On the way, the airplane is forced to make an emergency landing. The women find themselves in Cleveland, Ohio where life seems a bit better. People view the women as glamorous, and men flock to them. All of a sudden, they uncover that they are "hot in Cleveland." The three women move to Cleveland and rent a quaint home that is owned by an eccentric and sassy woman named Ella. Each week, the girls get into various situations that bring laughter and a feeling of true friendship.
