?Fringe? is a science-fiction drama centered on investigations by the F.B.I?s ?Fringe Division" into unexplained phenomena and paranormal events. The team, F.B.I Agent Olivia Dunham, eccentric scientist Walter Bishop and his son Peter, seek to rationalize these mysterious cases through ?fringe? science which relies on the existence of a parallel universe. As the team tackles each case, unexpected and sinister connections among the incidents are discovered and "the Pattern" emerges. Technology company Massive Dynamic appears to be linked to the events. It is up to the ?Fringe? team to discover what lies beneath the surface of ?the Pattern? and avert a larger disaster.
