Adam, a wealthy businessman, decides to put on his own opera and cast himself in one of the lead roles to impress a romantic interest from the past. He enlists the help of many old and new opera singers who are seeking recognition to put on his production of "Cosi Fan Tutte" at his country estate. Throughout the course of preparing for the production, the characters have a series of off-and-on romantic interactions with one another. A central character feels confident that he can win the affections of the leading actress by opening night, but much to his surprise, he unexpectedly finds himself falling in love with her.
