The Blackening is a 2023 American horror film directed by Tim Story and written by Alex Roe. The film follows seven black friends who go away for the weekend to a cabin in the woods, only to find themselves trapped with a killer who has a vendetta against them. The Blackening is a slasher film with a twist. The killer is not a random stranger, but someone who knows the victims and has a personal grudge against them.
