6.1The Blackening is a 2023 American horror film directed by Tim Story and written by Alex Roe. The film follows seven black friends who go away for the weekend to a cabin in the woods, only to find themselves trapped with a killer who has a vendetta against them.
The Blackening is a slasher film with a twist. The killer is not a random stranger, but someone who knows the victims and has a personal grudge against them. This adds an extra layer of suspense and tension to the film, as the friends must not only try to survive the killer, but also figure out who he is and why he is targeting them.
