The Boogeyman is a 2023 horror film inspired by the Stephen King short story of the same name. The film follows two sisters, Sadie and Sawyer, who are struggling to cope with the death of their mother. Their father, a therapist, attempts to assist them in dealing with their grief, but their household becomes a site of mysterious occurrences. The sisters begin to experience strange and terrifying events, including closet doors opening and closing on their own, toys moving around the house, and footsteps in the night. As the events become more and more sinister, the sisters begin to suspect that the Boogeyman, a malevolent entity that preys on children, is haunting their home.
